Today we celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the long awaited Glendale High School Aquatic Center! The new center will serve GHS students for generations to come thanks to Measure K and Measure S bond dollars. The project is slated for completion in Fall 2020. Congratulations Nitros!

Shant Sahakian is an Elected Member and Past President of the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education representing Area D. He was elected to his first term in April 2017, becoming the youngest School Board Member and first Millennial elected in Glendale history. He is a lifelong resident of Glendale, proud product of Glendale public schools, and proud GUSD parent with deep roots in the community. He is a longtime community leader who has championed Glendale’s youth, advocated for the underserved, and served the community through a distinguished record of public service.
