Our Glendale Board of Education reaffirmed our commitment to all of our GUSD families including those who are undocumented during this evening’s board meeting. Our schools are and will continue to be safe and inclusive spaces for all of our students regardless of their immigration status.

Glendale School Board Member
Shant Sahakian is an Elected Member and Past President of the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education representing Area D. He was elected to his first term in April 2017, becoming the youngest School Board Member and first Millennial elected in Glendale history. He is a lifelong resident of Glendale, proud product of Glendale public schools, and proud GUSD parent with deep roots in the community. He is a longtime community leader who has championed Glendale’s youth, advocated for the underserved, and served the community through a distinguished record of public service.
